Christia was established in 1968 in Italy by Mr. Manlio Sorio. It was the first company in the world to create, manufacture and market luxury women’s shearling coats and jackets, giving it the right to claim to be the originator of this product genre.
This distinctive feature lies behind the iconic motto “Original Luxury Shearling” that identifies the Christia brand.
For fifty years the exclusive Christia Collection coats have been made completely by hand in Italy, in the workshop located in Molvena – not far from Venice – by the Artisan Masters trained at the school of Manlio Sorio and his son Nicola, who runs the company today.
Every Christia coat requires 10 hours of work and is completely handmade by our expert artisans. During the rigorous final quality check, our Head Master signs the Certificate of Authenticity that accompanies each garment, certifying its “Original Luxury Shearling” status.
