All began in Siatista. A small mountainous town in northern Greece, where the processing of skins has a centuries-old tradition.CPL was founded there in 1953 by the brothers Nikos and Leonidas Papageorgiou. Over time the company grew together with its employees into one big family. From the beginning the entire production has always taken place in-house and continues to take place there: In Siatista, Greece. Today the family-run company is one of the world’s leading companies in high-quality natural outerwear and its products could be found all over the world. We only use natural biodegradable materials. No fake shearlings. No petroleum-based materials. We use a wide range of shearling materials, which are a by-product from the food industry. These skins come from sheep that are bred in free herding in compliance with all international animal welfare guidelines. All materials are constantly sourced from certified suppliers. We have also been successfully audited by amfori BSCI. Ethical, transparent and responsible behavior is a value of major concern for our company.
