Italian company PELLICCERIA MELE was founded in 1880 by Enrico Mele in Naples, where it is still based today. Historically, it is one of the oldest and most prestigious companies in the industry in Italy, and has always stood out for manufacturing its own original products, created in their entirety by its expert artisans.
The only Italian business in the sector at the time, it was invited to participate in the Paris International Exhibition in 1907. Because of his outstanding entrepreneurial qualities, Enrico Mele was made a Knight of the Order of the Crown of Italy in 1917.
MELE is a widely respected brand right across Italy.
Having gradually established itself during Milan fashion week as the point of reference for the Italian fur sector, MELE has earned widespread admiration all over Italy.
Enrico is still there today, together with his brothers Davide and Diego, at the helm of a company that has now successfully been passed down to the 5th generation of the family.
Mele furs are distributed and sold in the most exclusive and prestigious stores in Europe and the world.
