The Contest RMI – RESEARCH, FASHION, INNOVATION has been created by CNA Federmoda with two specific objectives. The first one is to stimulate and support research and innovation in Small Medium and Craft Enterprises by offering them the chance to deal with new styles, materials, colours or whatever is expressed by young design. The second objective is to give candidates the opportunity to come into contact with entrepreneurs and designers, who work on a daily basis in a fashion environment. Consequently, various candidates from previous editions are now established stylists or big-brand designers.
This year the young winners of RMI – RICERCA MODA INNOVAZIONE, exhibit at TheOneMilano in a special Area (N.1) , a meeting place dedicated to visibility, networking and business. Here, designers can meet exhibiting companies and show their portfolio and the garments that they took to the competition, with the aim of making new business contacts and encouraging real connections between the creative side and the production side of fashion.
