Since 1955 MONDIALPELLI has been producing fur garments for prestigious international fashion brands.
The company founded in that year by Enzo Picciocchi and Alberto Ravizza and based in Milan, began as a wholesale company of hides and fur garments.
At the beginning, it is fairly small, and it specialises in high-quality prêt-à-porter, quite unusual for the classic furriers of the day.
This was the key to the company’s success and its fast and consistent development, leading to the decision to produce and distribute ready to wear collections wholesale. It continued to grow at a remarkable rate in the 1960s before focusing closely on the US, Japanese and German markets at the start of the 70s.
The first heir, Umberto Picciocchi, joined in 1972 and he was followed in 1981 by Roberto Ravizza.
In 1987 they launched a wonderful collaboration with GIANFRANCO FERRÉ
March 1988 saw the first Ferré Fourrures collection… this marked a revolution in the world of fur as well as a “mental revolution” for Mondialpelli as it embarked on a change of approach and technology in an effort to satisfy the demands of Ferré.
Its vast experience in creating fur collections, its collaborations with renowned designers, and its style office that is constantly up-to-date make the MONDIALPELLI collections incredibly contemporary.
Besides producing the Gianfranco Ferré Furs collection, MONDIALPELLI also makes Mondiana and it opened its flagship store in 2008 in Moscow, at the Crocus City Mall.
In 2009 Mondialpelli opened premises at 1/A Via Bodoni in Milan, from where it manages production, logistics and sales. In 2010 MONDIALPELLI launched the new “concept label” PLACE… distributed exclusively by Studio Zeta.org.
